Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2x Review

Videos 9 February 2010 | 25 Comments

Essentially a “Director’s Cut” of the previous two Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games, this Xbox launch title brings this famous series to Mircosoft’s console. Are the five new levels and updated graphics enough to keep gamers happy? Jeff Gerstmann tells all in this video review. “Anyone who is looking for a nice, solid freestyle sports game for the Xbox and who isn’t looking for a graphical showpiece for his or her new system won’t be disappointed.”

  17. D00dProductions says:

    THPS2 owned all.
    Period!

I noticed it started getting lame at American Wasteland. Thug2 was alright in my opinion.
THUG1 was great. Nice atmosphere, music, level design, a fucking story, and memorable characters like Eric Sparrow.
He was a prick, and we loved him for it.
I remember rebeating the game for shits and giggles once, and never saw the alternate ending coming. I was like WTF?
I also like games with “Get all gaps”
THPS3 missed that, but not in the PS1 version.

  19. carddealer758 says:

thug 2 was just the downfall of tony hawk sadly T_T

  20. tnpan says:

I think THUG is great, maybe the best, not sure if it beats 2 though.
I don’t know what made me say it was okay.

  21. carddealer758 says:

THPS3 and 4 in myopion were better than thps2,thug is fun, thug 2 is okay

  22. edge1000 says:

man i loved thps1 and 2 on dreamcast

  23. InstantWinston says:

So I’m NOT the only one who thinks it sucked after THUG!

  24. marcelo4527 says:

    This is a great game

  25. tnpan says:

That’s becaused it hasn’t been good since Underground. THPS3 was good, but doesn’t top 2. THPS4, I really didn’t like. UG was okay, THUG 2 was’t better, and American wasteland was terrible. I gave it one more chance with Project 8, and lost it. I now stopped buying the games. The ratings for THPS2 were incredibly high, average 98%! Just barely trailing Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda: OoT, and GTA4. I guess I’m not the only one who liked it that much. I played it again, and oh god, the memories
